Awareness

Awareness is constant. Awareness is all-pervading.

Ordinary awareness is a frenetic activity of mind.
An involvement in the measuring of being.
A comparison of self in relation to other.
An accounting of identity through comparison.
The posturing, defining, and redefining
That bolsters the unquestioned assumption
Of an independent, persistent self.

Awareness can settle into unmeasured being.
A thoroughness of activity that does not recognize duality.

This thoroughness of activity is true compassion.
It can be activated in any moment.
Activated by the heart of practice…
Attention.
